KKR closes $6.4 billion Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II Fund; Here's what you need to know

KKR, a global investment firm, has closed its KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II fund, raising $64 billion.

The fund is the largest pan-regional infrastructure fund ever raised for the Asia Pacific region

KKR has already committed over half of the fund's capital to 10 ventures, including telecommunications towers in the Philippines and roads in India

The fund's focus is on critical infrastructure with low volatility and strong downside protection

It covers sectors such as renewables, power and utilities, digital infrastructure, and transportation

The fund aims for substantial investments in India, Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Japan

The fund has received funding from a diverse group of global investors, including pensions, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies

KKR manages over $56 billion in assets across more than 80 infrastructure investments worldwide
