Arré, a digital brand that houses Arré Studio & Arré Voice, has announced the appointment of Namit Sharma as CEO of its studio business.

Who is Namit Sharma?

With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years in the Media & Entertainment sector, Sharma brings a wealth of diverse and exciting experience, ranging from journalism and scriptwriting to television production, broadcasting, film production, live entertainment, and digital content.

Starting with the early days at Sony Entertainment Television and Yash Raj Films, Namit has held leadership roles at Wizcraft Entertainment, Zee Network & Reliance Entertainment.

Roles and responsibilities

Namit's leadership at Arré marks a new chapter, guiding the creation of a media brand that reaches consumers directly through various channels, including OTT platforms, broadcast, movie theatres, and social media. 

He will also support the Arré Voice content team, which is introducing 30-second audio pods in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi for Tier 3 and rural India.

What does Arré do?

Arré is an Indian digital content and media-tech brand that is home to Arré Studio, which produces and publishes original content with professional creators across genres, languages, formats, and platforms, and Arré Voice, a short-form, women-first audio social app based on 30-second audio pods aimed at building a new social idiom and a whole new generation of creators.

Currently populated in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi (and adding more languages) across tier 3 and rural India, Arré Voice is bringing forth new creators with opportunities for fame, community, and commerce. 

The content is distributed through its social platforms and in collaboration with multiple partner platforms, including Audio and Video OTT platforms. The Arré Studio slate includes shows such as A.I.SHA, Official Chukyagiri, 1962: The War in the Hills, Main Monica, Murder in Agonda, Dillogical, Trial By Error / The Aarushi Files, Ardhamainda Arun Kumar in Telugu, and award-winning short films like Transistor and Sorry Bhaisaab.
