Rockit, a new-age beverage brand, recently raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Sauce.VC and Rannvijay Singha.
Sauce VC, an early-stage consumer investor, has invested in Rockit at the idea stage and is collaborating with the management to identify market gaps and create a differentiated brand in the beverage industry.
What does Rockit do?
Founded by Vedant Garg, a seasoned FMCG founder and professional, Rockit provides an array of energy drinks, starting with a mass-priced berry-flavoured energy drink. This product operates in the fast-growing energy drinks space, where the berry flavoured drinks are nearly 90% of the market by volume.
The brand also plans to expand its product line to include fruit-flavoured drinks and hydration products over time.
“The Indian consumer preference is changing, aligning itself with global standards. We like to offer similar product with Indian taste and convenience to the youth of Tier II and III cities. Distribution is the key in India and as a family we have garnered the same through our five decades old family legacy in the food business," said Garg.
Focusing on omnichannel presence
Initially, Rockit is concentrating on establishing an omnichannel presence in North Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, with plans for a gradual expansion across India.
The startup's first product, the Rockit Energy Drink, was soft-launched in Haryana and has received positive feedback regarding its taste and packaging. It aims to leverage its extensive distribution expertise to ensure that its products are available at major retail outlets throughout North India.

The brand also launched a digital film that showcases the essence of Rockit and its alignment with the aspirations of today’s youth. The film features Rannvijay in various high-energy scenarios, epitomising the spirit of adventure and individuality that Rockit stands for.
