Adopt AI co-founders
Adopt AI, a Silicon Valley and Bengaluru-based startup, has raised $6 million in seed funding as it emerges from stealth to take on what it sees as the next frontier in artificial intelligence: agentic AI.
The round was led by Elevation Capital, with participation from Foster Ventures, Powerhouse Ventures, Darkmode Ventures, and a group of angel investors.
What does Adopt AI do?
Founded by Deepak Anchala, Rahul Bhattacharya, and Anirudh Badam, Adopt AI is building a platform that enables businesses to rapidly transform their existing applications into agentic AI-powered systems—intelligent software agents capable of performing complex tasks using natural language.
The startup is targeting software-as-a-service (SaaS) and business-to-customer (B2C) companies operating in sectors such as banking, healthcare, and enterprise tech, where intricate workflows and high user engagement are key.
"In the agentic AI world, applications are coming closer to humans with natural language," Anchala, CEO of Adopt AI told ET.
"Applications as they stand today will lose out to agentic AI companies unless they change. So we are building an agentic layer for them to turn any application into an agentic one, within 24 hours."
Offering a no-code platform
At the heart of Adopt's offering is Agent Builder, a no-code platform that learns the user workflows of an application and automatically generates intelligent actions and conversational interfaces.
The startup's AI and engineering talent includes veterans from Microsoft and Google. Chief AI Officer Anirudh Badam brings over a decade of experience from Microsoft, while founding AI engineer Vijay Sagar previously spent ten years at Google focusing on machine learning systems.
Adopt AI currently has a 16-member team split between the U.S. and India, with AI engineers based in San Francisco and full-stack developers, product managers, and designers in Bengaluru.
"Adopt AI is at the forefront of a transformative shift in how applications engage with users," said Krishna Mehra, Partner at Elevation Capital. "Their innovative approach to empowering applications with intelligent AI agents has the potential to redefine user experiences across industries."
