Indian agritech startup Eeki has raised $7 million for nationwide scale-up with aeroponic innovation to rapidly expand farm operations across India, strengthen R&D, and scale up the deployment of its advanced Gen 3 Growing Chambers. Sixth Sense Ventures led the funding.
The startup said the latest infusion of capital will help it expand its scalable, sustainable farming footprint and accelerate its next-generation technology rollouts. Over the last one year, it has raised more than $10 million from various investors.
Founded by IIT Bombay material science graduates Abhay Singh and Amit Kumar, Eeki is transforming farming agriculture by growing pesticide-free staple vegetables year-round on barren land—achieving 10 times the yield while using 90% less water. The startup's key innovation lies in delivering this efficiency at mandi prices, a feat made possible by its patented growing chambers, advanced plant science, and patent-pending automation.
Eeki said it is addressing the core challenge of food security by tackling multiple variables at once: weather-proof farming on non-arable lands with viable economics.
“This funding marks a pivotal moment in our journey toward scaling climate-resilient farming across India and abroad. Our aim is to build a future-ready food system that can thrive irrespective of environmental challenges. Nikhil and Kathan’s appreciation for in-house hardware & tech and long-term value creation makes them the ideal partners for us,” said Abhay Singh, who is also the CEO of the company.
“The introduction of aeroponics in our Gen 3 chambers represents a paradigm shift in precision agriculture, allowing us to grow clean, nutritious vegetables consistently, independent of seasons and soil,” Singh added.
“30% of our team is focused on improving core tech to maximise yield with minimal resources,” said cofounder Amit Kumar. “This raise helps us perfect more crops across zones. With Sixth Sense’s consumer expertise, we aim to build Eeki’s positioning as a leader in nutrition and origin.” said Amit Kumar, Co-Founder Eeki.
“Sustainable agriculture is critical to future food security. Eeki’s breakthrough model has proven itself in India’s toughest conditions, with superior cost efficiency and potential for global scalability. Backed by sharp execution and R&D, Abhay and Amit are building what could be the world’s most efficient farming company. We’re thrilled to partner with these brilliant scientists-turned-farmers on this journey,” said Nikhil Vora, Founder and CEO of Sixth Sense Ventures.
