Helium, an AI platform designed to enhance product and visitor intelligence on ecommerce websites, has raised Rs 4.52 crore or approximately $550,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Merak Ventures, a sector-agnostic early-stage venture capital firm.
The round also saw participation from angel investor Alok Mittal.
The startup plans to use the raised capital to build a high-performing team and further develop its product offerings, aiming to strengthen its position in the competitive eCommerce landscape.
What does Helium do?
In the rapidly growing online commerce market, the need for advanced tools to improve storefront experiences and boost performance is crucial.
Helium addresses this need by integrating product and visitor intelligence into ecommerce platforms, enabling seamless digital shopping experiences.
Sheetal Bahl, Partner at Merak Ventures, highlighted the importance of such tools: “As online commerce surges post-pandemic, the need for tools to eliminate business inefficiencies has never been more pressing. Helium is addressing these critical gaps, set to boost conversions and revenue streams for eCommerce businesses.”
Who are the founders of Helium?
Helium was co-founded by Shray Arora, Sidharth Sahni, and Deepak Kapoor. Shray Arora, the product and strategy lead, has extensive experience from his time at McKinsey and as Chief of Staff at Indifi.
Sidharth Sahni, a prodigy developer, began coding at the age of 12 and previously worked as a Software Developer at Nados.
Deepak Kapoor, based in North America, is a seasoned marketing professional with over a decade of experience, having held significant roles with retail brands like Lindt, Ecobee, and Baffin Footwear.
Aiming to revolutionize the ecommerce landscape
Helium aims to revolutionize the eCommerce landscape by empowering brands to provide exceptional online shopping experiences.
“At Helium, our mission is clear: to revolutionize the eCommerce landscape by empowering brands with the most advanced, intelligent, and seamless digital brand purchasing experience," Arora said.
The startup partners with leading brands in the fashion and consumer tech sectors to create intelligent collection and product landing pages, enhancing the overall shopping experience and increasing conversions.
It aims to collaborate with top eCommerce brands globally, focusing particularly on the North American market.
By leveraging AI to tag products and UI elements and understanding visitor behaviour, Helium curates personalized content for each visitor, similar to how Spotify tailors music preferences. This approach results in higher brand affinity and increased conversions.
