AI-powered traveltech platform The Tarzan Way has raised Rs 2 crore in a funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, a Gurugram-based angel investment platform. The round also saw participation from Your Trips Limited (a UK-based travel company), Prateek Maheshwari (Founder of PhysicsWallah), and other angel investors.
The startup plans to use the capital for product development, operational efficiency, marketing, and team building, along with the launch of its new "Exploration App."
Founded in 2020 by Shikhar Chadha and Shivank Tripathi, The Tarzan Way is an intelligent travel companion that enables users to design hyper-personalised, authentic holiday experiences across the globe in just a few clicks. Unlike others, it offers hyper-personalised itineraries, an AI-backed booking engine, 24x7 live concierge support, and a one-click booking experience.
“Our passion lies in creating memories that last. We don’t just plan trips; we help people craft stories that stay with them forever. That’s the core spirit behind The Tarzan Way,” said Shikhar Chadha.
In terms of performance, the startup has witnessed 300% year-on-year revenue growth and 70% month-on-month user growth. With over 35,000 social media followers and more than 10 million content views, it has already recorded Rs 13.5 crore in gross booking value. India’s travel and tourism sector contributed over $199 billion to GDP in 2023 and is projected to reach $512 billion by 2028.
