Angel investor and BizDateUp co-founder Jeet Chandan has invested an undisclosed amount in Manastu Space, a startup dedicated to space safety and sustainability through advanced green propulsion and debris collision avoidance technologies.
The deal, which was finalized in just 15 minutes, reflects a strong shared vision for innovation in an industry poised to become a trillion-dollar global market by 2030.
What does Manastu Space do?
Manastu Space is revolutionizing the trillion-dollar space industry with its advanced green propulsion systems and state-of-the-art debris collision avoidance technologies. These solutions tackle the critical issue of space debris, which poses significant risks to operational satellites and the broader space ecosystem. Current estimates indicate that millions of debris fragments orbiting Earth are becoming an increasingly urgent challenge for the global space community.
By enabling satellites to transition between orbits, avoid incoming debris, and safely deorbit at the end of their operational life, Manastu Space is setting new standards for sustainability in space operations.
The global space economy, projected to reach $1.4 trillion by 2030, is rapidly advancing with innovations in satellite manufacturing, launch services, and space-based applications. Manastu Space said that its cutting-edge technologies are uniquely positioned to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and sustainability of this evolving market, driving progress toward a cleaner and more efficient orbital future.
Leadership comments
“The space industry holds immense potential to address many challenges faced by humanity, from data-driven solutions to enhanced global connectivity through IoT platforms,” said Tushar Jadhav, Co-Founder of Manastu Space.
“At Manastu, we are committed to ensuring that space remains sustainable so its benefits can reach the last person on Earth. Our green propulsion systems are designed to maneuver satellites in space—whether to change orbits, avoid debris, or safely deorbit at the end of their life, creating space for new satellites and safeguarding the orbital environment. Jeet Chandan’s vision perfectly aligns with us, making this partnership truly impactful," Jadhav added.
What did Jeet Chandan say?
Chandan said his decision to invest was driven by Manastu’s clear focus on developing practical solutions to the debris crisis.
“What drew me to invest in Manastu Space was their focus on addressing one of the most critical challenges in the space industry, sustainability,” he said, noting that the convergence of green propulsion and collision avoidance technology reflects both technical ingenuity and global necessity.
“The team’s clarity of mission and scalable, innovative solutions made this investment compelling. I am proud to support their vision of creating a cleaner, safer and more inclusive orbital future.”
Manastu Space successfully tested its technology on December 30, 2024, demonstrating that its systems can perform reliably under real mission conditions. With that milestone reached, the startup now plans to scale up commercialization, offering its advanced propulsion and collision-avoidance solutions to private and public sector entities keen on tapping into space while adhering to increasingly stringent safety and sustainability standards.
