Arivihan, an edtech startup offering fully automated AI-led coaching for Indian school students, has raised $4.17 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Prosus Ventures and Accel.
The round also saw participation from GSF Investors. Arivihan said the new capital will support its expansion into three additional states, deepen its research in natural language processing for Indian languages, and enhance on-ground marketing and distribution infrastructure.
The startup had previously raised $750,000 from Accel’s Atoms seed-stage program.
Founded in 2024 by IIT Roorkee alumni Ritesh Singh Chandel, Sonu Kumar, and seasoned Math educator Rushabh Kothari, the startup has developed what it describes as India's first fully automated AI tutoring platform that delivers personalised coaching through interactive video lectures, instant doubt-solving, and AI-driven study plans.
It currently serves students preparing for the State Board, CBSE, and NEET, with a primary focus on Class 12th learners from Tier 2+, Tier 3 cities, and rural regions. Arivihan plans to grow its academic team, onboard experienced NEET faculty, and hire across product, marketing, and engineering functions.
"Our AI-first approach doesn't just make education accessible, but it makes it truly personalized for every student, regardless of their location or economic background. This funding allows us to accelerate our mission of democratizing world-class education across Real Bharat," said Singh.
Arivihan claims to have sold 15,000 subscriptions in FY25, generating revenue of Rs 3.25 crore (approximately $390,000). It also claims to be resolving roughly 700,000 student queries per month using AI, with an accuracy rate of 97%. With the fresh funding, Arivihan is targeting a subscriber base of 80,000 to 100,000 this year.
Dhruv Gupta, Investor at Prosus, said, “At Prosus, we’ve been actively exploring breakthrough applications of AI across sectors, and education remains one of the most compelling frontiers. Arivihan stood out as an AI-native learning platform purpose-built for India’s aspirational students, combining deep personalization with scalable impact. Their first-principles approach to product and distribution gives them a real shot at transforming how millions of students learn and succeed.”
Arivihan will focus on scaling its proven go-to-market strategy and building localised distribution networks in new geographies. The expansion strategy includes strategic hiring across key functions and leveraging digital marketing to establish deep market penetration.
