Digital spirituality startup Bhagva has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Australian investor Pradeep Nain, alongside other unnamed backers.
The Delhi-based startup will use the fresh capital to strengthen its technological infrastructure and streamline operations, aiming to deliver a more seamless spiritual experience to its growing user base.
What does Bhagva do?
Founded in 2022, Bhagva operates as a full-stack digital platform that offers online and offline pooja services, pandit bookings, daily Panchang readings, horoscope-based guidance, and jaap (chanting) services.
The platform is accessible through both mobile and web interfaces and is designed to cater to a wide demographic, blending India's deep-rooted spiritual traditions with digital convenience.
The latest investment comes at a time of increasing demand for tech-enabled spiritual services in India, where platforms like Astrotalk, AppsForBharat, Vama.app, and InstaAstro are already active.
Focused on empowering women
Beyond its core spiritual offerings, Bhagva has taken an inclusive approach to platform development by engaging women and underrepresented communities in its supply chain.
The startup provides vocational training to individuals—particularly in underserved regions—for the production of pooja-related items such as agarbattis, solar diyas, and handcrafted artifacts.
"Our mission is to make spirituality more accessible and inclusive," said Jagriti Motwani, Promoter of Bhagva. "This funding will allow us to build a stronger tech foundation and create meaningful impact through spiritual empowerment and economic inclusion."
