Pavan Ranga, Director, Rangsons Aerospace
Bengaluru-based Rangsons Aerospace has raised Rs 300 crore in a funding round led by ValueQuest Investment Advisors. Anand Rathi Advisors acted as the financial advisor for the transaction.
The startup plans to use the capital to scale operations in India, expand internationally, and develop new products and solutions for commercial and military aviation markets around the world.
Expanding in the aerospace and defence sector
Rangsons Aerospace Managing Director Pavan Ranga said the fresh funding will speed up the firm’s ability to serve growing demands in aerospace and defense.
He notes that the startup wants to capture a significant share of India’s fluid-conveyance system market, which is valued at around Rs 20,000 crore, while also working on high-end solutions for the Ministry of Defence and other global partners.
Ranga adds that the proceeds from this round could also be used for strategic acquisitions to broaden the company’s reach in new business segments.
Major partnership and product lines
Rangsons Aerospace, a part of the Mysuru-based NR Group, offers products such as satellite communication systems, airborne thermal management equipment, and fluid distribution solutions.
It is a Tier 1 partner to aerospace giants like Boeing, GE, and Honeywell, and supplies critical systems to Indian entities such as ISRO, the Indian Navy, and HAL.
The startup operates manufacturing facilities in both Bengaluru and Mysuru, and it aims to build on existing relationships to further establish its position in the global aerospace market.
Rangsons Aerospace forms part of the broader NR Group, which is known for selling essential oils, fragrances, incense and electronics, including the well-known Cycle Agarbatti brand. With its roots in Mysuru, the group has diversified into multiple sectors, including the growing aerospace and defense field.
