ClearTrust, a cybersecurity platform specializing in ad tracking and fraud detection, has raised $1.9 million in a pre-Series A funding round.
The round was led by Ideaspring Capital, with participation from Piper Serica Angel Fund and existing investor Alacrity India. Previously, The startup had secured $200,000 in a seed round in 2021 from Alacrity India, Limelight UK, and ThinkNext LLC.
Making online advertising safe
Founded in 2020 by Deepankar Biswas and Raja TN, ClearTrust aims to make online advertising safe and trustworthy.
The startup addresses the increasing challenges of ad fraud, which is a significant issue in the digital advertising space. The platform offers solutions like traffic scanning, precise tracking, and a real-time dashboard with over 140 traffic-scoring filters.
The startup believes that this technology helps advertisers, agencies, and networks achieve higher ROI by eliminating fraudulent activities from their digital campaigns.
Expanding operations into North America
With the new funding, ClearTrust plans to expand its operations into North America and invest further in research and development.
The startup will focus on AI, cybersecurity, and deep tech to develop advanced filters for detecting advertising fraud. It claims to have witnessed rapid growth, with a 3X annual increase over the last two years and aims to reach a yearly revenue of $10 million by 2027.
ClearTrust's client base
ClearTrust currently serves 34 clients across the US, Israel, India, and Europe. The startup has developed two products --- ClearScan and ClearTrack, to protect various stakeholders in the digital advertising ecosystem from invalid traffic and fraudulent activities.
