Delhi-based DCDC Kidney Care raises Rs 150 crore from ABC Impact

Delhi-based DCDC Kidney Care has raised Rs 150 crore in funding from Singapore-based ABC Impact, an Asia-focused impact investor backed by Temasek. 

The company operates more than 200 dialysis centres across India under both public-private partnerships and standalone clinics. 

It plans to use the new funding to open more than 150 additional clinics in the coming months, aiming to serve the large number of patients who travel long distances—often up to 50 kilometres—to access dialysis services.

Expansion and accessibility

DCDC, founded in 2009, delivers nearly 100,000 dialysis sessions every month. According to reports, End-stage renal disease (ESRD) affects more than 1.5 million people across the country, many of whom need dialysis three times a week. High costs, inconsistent care and limited facilities continue to create barriers, especially for low-income families who can struggle to afford or maintain treatment over the long term.

"This investment from ABC Impact will help enhance our efforts to transform kidney care in India. With this investment, we plan to expand our network of company-owned centres, ensuring last-mile connectivity and making high-quality dialysis care accessible closer to patients' homes," DCDC Founder and CEO, Aseem Garg said.

ABC Impact Chief Impact Officer Sugandhi Matta said, "With the growing burden of kidney disease in India, increasing access to quality dialysis is both a healthcare and economic necessity. DCDC's proven model of expanding affordable dialysis services aligns with our commitment to improving healthcare outcomes while ensuring long-term sustainability."

DCDC counts the Danish government-owned investment fund IFU and the Asian Development Bank among its existing shareholders.

IFU’s investment is made through the Danish SDG Investment Fund, which is backed by the Danish State, large Danish pension funds and other private and institutional investors.
