byteXL, a Hyderabad-based edtech startup focused on engineering education, has raised $5.9 million in a Series A funding round led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.

What does byteXL do?
Founded in 2019 by Karun Tadepalli and Charan Tadepalli, byteXL specializes in providing high-quality, affordable tech skills to engineering students, particularly in tier II and tier III cities across India.
The startup has partnered with over 26 colleges and universities, training more than one lakh students in software technologies such as programming, cybersecurity, full-stack development, and cloud technologies.
Its platform uses a hybrid learning model and a supervised campus recruitment system to prepare students for IT careers.
Purpose of fundraising
The startup plans to use the raised capital for team expansion, product development, and the introduction of new digital tools and technologies.
Additionally, byteXL plans to extend its outreach to more colleges and universities nationwide.
