Felicity Games, a Bengaluru-based casual game developer and publisher, has raised $700,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by DeVC and Visceral Capital.
The round also saw participation from angel investors, including Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy (co-founders of Swiggy), Kunal Shah (founder of CRED), Manish Agarwal (former CEO of Nazara Technologies), and Sameer Pittalwala (Head of Gaming at Google Cloud, APAC).
What does Felicity Games do?
Founded in 2023 by ex-Swiggy executive Anurag Choudhary, Felicity Games specialises in casual mobile games like Solitaire. In less than a year, the startup has launched over ten game titles, engaging more than a million monthly users across 14 geographies.
It now plans to use the raised capital to test an additional ten games by March 2025.
Aiming to scale revenue growth
Felicity Games aims to scale its revenue by ten times by the end of 2024.
“Given our cost and skill advantages, Felicity Games is well placed to build a multi-million dollar casual gaming business from India for the world," said Anurag Choudhary, Founder & CEO.
Utilizing proprietary framework
Felicity Games utilizes a proprietary framework called ‘Pokhran’ to evaluate each game's commercial viability, ensuring that only the most promising titles are scaled up.
The Bengaluru-based startup also partners with studios and brands to co-create intellectual properties (IPs).
Divyanshi Chowdhary, a founding member of DeVC, said, “Felicity combines an objective approach to commercial testing with iterations on non-conventional channels to drive risk-adjusted growth for new IPs, unlocking developer-friendly publishing for the indie ecosystem.”
