Recruitment technology firm Expertia AI has secured Rs 20 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rockstud Capital, with participation from Flipkart, Endiya Partners, and Chiratae Ventures.
The funding marks a key step in Expertia's efforts to scale its AI-driven hiring platform, expand its technology team, and accelerate product development.
What does Expertia AI do?
Founded in 2021 by Kanishk Shukla and Akshay Gugnani, Expertia AI leverages deep learning and natural language processing (NLP) to automate various hiring stages, including talent discovery, screening, assessment, and interviews.
The platform integrates with more than 35 job portals and has a distribution network spanning over 220 million professionals.
Expertia AI’s patent-pending technology focuses on a skill-first approach, helping companies make more precise and faster hiring decisions. The platform combines applicant tracking, AI-driven sourcing, bot-assisted interviews, and real-time hiring analytics, reducing time-to-hire by 80% compared to conventional recruitment processes.
Since its inception, Expertia claims to have processed over 25 million applications, facilitated hiring for more than 230,000 job openings, and built a user base of over 18,000 companies. The startup targets mid-to-large enterprises with over 500 employees and has already onboarded major clients such as Reliance Retail and Jio.
