FanTV, a content platform on the Sui blockchain, raises $3 million in funding

FanTV, a blockchain-based content platform that uses artificial intelligence to power multimedia creation, has raised an additional $3 million in funding from Mysten Labs, Cypher Capital, CoinSwitch Ventures, and Illuminati Capital.

This fresh round builds on the $5.5 million it previously secured from backers including Multicoin Capital, Woodstock Fund, Krafton, IOSG Ventures, Pravega Ventures, and Tykhe Block Ventures.

What does FanTV do?

Founded in 2023 by Prashan Agarwal, formerly the CEO of Gaana, FanTV combines AI and blockchain technology to help creators easily produce music, videos, podcasts, web series, and vlogs.

Operating on the Sui blockchain, the platform has amassed more than 8 million users and 80,000 creators, processing over 30 million transactions every month and generating 1.2 million hours of AI-augmented content.

According to the company, prominent creators such as TrevinVSNFT, Bitcoin educator Kashif Raza, CryptoIndia, and BlockFuel are already active on the platform.

Users can purchase credits to access premium AI services, tip or gift creators, and even mint their own digital tokens to offer exclusive material or unique engagement opportunities.

Purpose of fundraising

FanTV will use the raised capital to enhance AI-powered tools for creators, expand the platform's global creator network, and implement user growth strategies.
