Full-stack gut health startup Sova Health raises $1 million in a Seed funding round

Sova Health, a startup specializing in gut health, has raised $1 million in a seed funding round jointly led by global early-stage venture capital firms Antler, Accelerating Asia from Singapore, Practical VC from the United States, and VC Grid & Venture Catalysts from India. 

The funding round saw additional participation from Quadrant Consumer Products and Midas Capital, also known as the Baheti Family Office. Marquee angel investors, whose identities remain undisclosed, also contributed.

Purpose of fundraising

The startup plans to use the raised capital for product development, including enhancing its range of gut health solutions. Additionally, It aims to expand its team by hiring new talent and increasing its market presence geographically.

The investment will also support the launch of a clinical trial for its Digital Therapeutics (DTx) program, further solidifying Sova Health’s commitment to scientific research and product efficacy.

What are Sova Health’s offerings?

Sova Health, founded by Tanveer Singh and Max Kushnir, focuses on a range of gut-related health issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acidity, constipation, and bloating.

The startup offers direct-to-consumer gut microbiome tests and a line of proprietary probiotic supplements.

Additionally, Sova Health provides customized gut health programs designed for individuals with gastrointestinal conditions like IBS, IBD, GERD, Crohn’s Disease, and chronic acidity. Their approach combines gut biome diagnostics, probiotics, and nutritional therapy to help reverse symptoms and drive conditions into remission.

Prior to this seed round, Sova Health had raised pre-seed funding from notable investors including Goodwater Capital, Brinc, IIMA Ventures, and Stanford Angels
