Goa-based beverage startup Latambarcem Brewers (LB Brewers) has raised $1.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by SPV, Dhruv Agarwala, and Sheba Venture Holdings, among other investors. 

The startup plans to use the raised capital to boost its growth and solidify its position as a leader in the natural functional beverage space.

Founded in 2017 by brothers Aditya Ishan Varshnei and Anish Varshnei, LB Brewers operates with a comprehensive strategy that includes product development, manufacturing, supply chain management, and brand building. The startup's holistic approach has helped it carve a niche in the competitive beverage industry.

Product offerings

LB Brewers markets two main brands: Maka Di and Borecha. Maka Di offers a variety of craft beers, while Borecha focuses on health-oriented beverages, with probiotic kombucha as its flagship product.

Other products in their lineup include Belgian Triple, Super Maka, and Bavarian Keller. These products cater to a growing demand for both craft beers and health-conscious beverages.

Partnership with Indian airlines

The startup, which has established partnerships with Akasa Air and Air India Express, claims to have become the first to serve kombucha and sparkling iced tea on Indian airlines. 

Additionally, It has expanded its market reach to the US, Canada, UAE, and other countries. LB Brewers plans to enter 11 European markets this year. LB Brewers also aims to achieve Rs 300 crore in annual revenue within the next three years.
