Fintech startup focused on the edtech sector, GradRight, said it has raised Rs 50 crore in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures.
Founded back in 2019 by Aman Singh and Sasidhar Sista, GradRight brings together prospective students, universities, and lenders on a single platform. The platform leverages AI to assist students in securing the right scholarships, grants, and loans and helps universities find suitable students.
With this round of funding, The startup plans to enhance its technological infrastructure and expand its product suite. The funds will also be instrumental in scaling up operations, entering new markets, and strengthening the team to cater to the growing demand for their services.
GradRight says that over the past two years, it has processed loan requests worth over $1.75 billion (Rs 14,300 crore) and assisted more than 55,000 students through its online platform.
At present, The startup has partnerships with 15 lenders and over 50 international academic institutions in the US, Canada, and Europe, offering students a broad selection of 13,100 programs across 1,000 universities.
