Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, has announced a strategic investment of up to Rs 525 crore in Euler Motors, an electric vehicle (EV) startup specializing in three- and four-wheeler commercial vehicles.

The move signals Hero's expansion into the rapidly growing electric mobility sector, further reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and innovation.

The investment, approved by Hero MotoCorp's board on March 20, 2025, will be executed in one or more tranches, with a mix of primary and secondary investments. Upon completion, Hero MotoCorp will hold approximately 32.5% of Euler Motors on a fully diluted basis.

Euler Motors, founded in 2015, has established itself as a key player in India's EV market, focusing on the design, manufacturing, and servicing of electric three-wheelers and commercial four-wheelers. The company, headquartered in New Delhi, has a presence in over 30 cities across India.

Its financial trajectory has shown consistent growth, with revenues rising from Rs 25 crore in FY22 to Rs 172 crore in FY24.

The investment from Hero MotoCorp will help Euler scale operations, strengthen its product portfolio, and drive the adoption of electric commercial vehicles across India.

Hero's push toward sustainable mobility

Hero MotoCorp's investment in Euler Motors aligns with its broader strategy to diversify its electric vehicle portfolio, which has traditionally focused on two-wheelers.

"Our strategic investment in Euler is a bold step towards realizing our vision to 'Be the Future of Mobility.' This investment reinforces our commitment to accelerated growth through both organic and inorganic expansion while highlighting the power of collaboration and adaptability in an ever-evolving market," the company said in a statement.
