Aerospace manufacturing startup Jeh Aerospace has raised $11 million in a Series A funding round led by Elevation Capital, with participation from existing investor General Catalyst.

The round, which would help the startup to fuel expansion of its operations and deepen its technological capabilities, comes 18 months after it raised $2.75 million in a seed round from General Catalyst and angel investors, including Pratyush Kumar and Dwarkanath Srinivas.

Founded in 2022 by Vishal R. Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, Jeh Aerospace specialises in high-precision aerospace and defence manufacturing, driven by software-defined manufacturing technology.

With operations in the US and India, the startup leverages friend-shoring to combine access to the American market with India’s skilled talent pool. It plans to further expand its presence and operations in both regions to serve global customers.

The Atlanta-headquartered startup claims to have delivered over 100,000 flight-critical components and tools, grown to a team of more than 100 employees, and secured $100 million in long-term contracts with global aerospace and defense firms.

“We are redefining aerospace manufacturing with software-driven precision, ensuring that high-quality parts are delivered reliably and on time,” said Vishal Sanghavi, who is also the CEO of Jeh Aerospace.

“This funding from Elevation Capital and General Catalyst will allow us to build mega factories and enhance our technology while continuing to deliver exceptional value to our global customers.”

Last month, IndiGo Ventures, the newly formed venture arm of India’s largest airline, made a strategic investment in Jeh Aerospace.

The startup, which has production capacities in Hyderabad, has also invested in developing a resilient talent pipeline. Earlier this year, it launched its Center for Skills, an internal training program for engineers and technicians. It also established a Center for Resilience, designed to accelerate new product introduction (NPI) cycles. Jeh claims it has reduced NPI lead times by a factor of 10 compared to traditional aerospace machine shops.
