SpinItUp, an interactive music commerce platform that lets club-goers pay to request their favorite songs during live DJ sets, today announced that it has secured Rs 50 lakh in a pre-seed funding round at a valuation of Rs 10 crore.

The funding was raised from Zee TV Ideabaaz Titans; Jimmy Mistry (Della Adventure Resorts), Anupam Bansal (Liberty Shoes) and Archana Jehagirdar (Rukam Capital).

The startup will use the capital for technology enhancement, network expansion, venue partnerships and DJ empowerment. Additionally, the platform would look towards building a powerhouse core team across tech, product, and growth to ensure scalability and introduce new product features, including advanced analytics for DJs and venue partners, commission tracking dashboards, and an expanded marketplace.

It would also focus on aggressive marketing and creator acquisition to onboard DJs across every major nightlife city as part of its pan-India footprint.

DJ Sanjay Meriya (The Spindoctor), Co-Founder of SpinItUp, said, “I come from a humble background, and my journey as a DJ has been full of struggle, hustle, and sleepless nights. I built everything from scratch, so I know how tough it is for DJs to earn and grow. SpinItUp was born from that struggle — to give every DJ the opportunity I never had.”

Sudeep Bansal, Co-Founder of SpinItUp, said, “Moving from the US with just an idea, I was nervous but confident about our concept from the get go and getting validation on national television has just boosted our confidence to the next level. The party is just getting started.”

SpinItUp said that DJs in India do not have a formal system to monetize beyond gigs and it addresses this gap with a tech-first music commerce platform. The startup is also working to create an ecosystem where DJs can earn commissions, enabling standardization while supporting the broader creator economy.

Furthermore, it would also look to develop analytics tools for club and bar partners to track customer engagement metrics, revenue uplift, and experience enhancement from interactive song requests. The platform would also create comprehensive tools to help DJs earn more, track their income transparently, and level up their careers beyond traditional gig fees.

SpinItUp claims to have onboarded 450 DJs and performing artists across 3 cities in the country, along with 10 partner venues.

The startup is currently registering monthly payouts of Rs 5,000-7,000 per artist, with a revenue growth of 120% YoY. It now aims to onboard 5,000 DJs and performing artists in the next 12 months, introduce new product features in analytics, commission tracking and marketplace, while also partnering with clubs/bars across the country.
