Lab-grown diamond startup True Diamond has raised $1 million in a seed funding round led by Titan Capital, with participation from Huddle Ventures, Zeropearl Ventures, and prominent angel investors such as Ashutosh Valani, Priyank Shah, Aashka Goradia Goble, Mamaearth founder Ghazal Alagh, Abhishek Goyal, and Anmol Jain.
The startup plans to use the raised capital to fuel the growth strategy, including building a skilled team, establishing exclusive boutique outlets in Mumbai and Delhi NCR, and launching robust branding and marketing initiatives.
Sustainability in lab-grown diamonds
Founded in January 2024 by Parin Shah and Darayus Mehta, the Mumbai-based startup specializes in high-quality lab-grown diamond jewellery that mimics natural diamonds in chemical composition, physical properties, and optical characteristics.
True Diamond's approach aligns with the growing consumer demand for sustainable and ethically sourced products. Its catalogue includes a wide range of customizable jewellery options, from rings and earrings to necklaces and tennis bracelets, along with offerings for men.
"This funding will allow us to expand our team, establish boutique locations, and strengthen our brand presence. We're excited to work with our investors to build True Diamond into one of the leading names in the jewellery industry," said Shah.
