Mumbai-based Marathi language video streaming platform Planet Marathi OTT has raised $5 million in a funding round led by A & MA Capital USA, a prominent private equity firm based in the United States. 

Enhancing offerings and content slate

The startup will use the raised capital to enhance its offerings and content slate.

Partnering with Dcafe

In addition to the investment, Planet Marathi OTT has entered into a strategic partnership with Dcafe, a globally renowned media-tech company.

The partnership is aimed at strengthening Planet Marathi's technological infrastructure.

“The partnership with Dcafe platform represents a significant milestone for us, solidifying our position in the tech-driven entertainment landscape," Bardapurkar added.

What content does Planet Marathi OTT offer?

Planet Marathi OTT is known for its diverse content library, which includes titles in genres such as romance, comedy, family drama, politics, crime, thriller, and satire.

The platform boasts some well-known content, including the national award-winning "Goshta Eka Paithanichi" and the popular web series "Raanbaazaar." It aims to provide an exclusive stage for Marathi industry talent and stories on a global scale.
