SVASTEK funding

In a significant boost to India’s healthcare innovation landscape, medtech startup SVASTEK has raised Rs 2 crore in a seed funding round led by the IAN Angel Fund.

The startup plans to use the raised capital to roll out its flagship product, the ALLTIP-enabled NIV mask, across India while expanding its distributor network, clinical application team and outreach programs.

Focus on respiratory and critical care

SVASTEK, launched in 2022 by founder Arita Abrol, focuses on addressing pressing challenges in respiratory and critical care. The Delhi-based startup says its ALLTIP technology-enabled NIV mask allows continuous noninvasive ventilation and simultaneous nutrition delivery.

This approach aims to reduce malnutrition risks for patients requiring long-term respiratory support. SVASTEK believes such innovations can fill critical gaps in existing medical technology, thereby improving patient care.

Market potential and expansion plans

According to market estimates, India’s respiratory and critical care sector is valued at Rs 48,500 crore (about $5.8 billion) and is growing at a CAGR of 8.3%.

SVASTEK intends to tap into this expanding market by strengthening its presence across the country. With plans to introduce more products and expand globally, the startup aims to make respiratory care more affordable and accessible.

Leadership comments

“We’re incredibly excited to have closed this round—it’s a huge step forward for SVASTEK,” said Abrol. “This investment isn’t just about capital; it’s a validation of the vision we’ve been building toward: creating impactful, innovative solutions that transform medtech globally."

"These funds will allow us to expand our team, push the boundaries of innovation, and establish ourselves in this rapidly evolving industry. India is at the cusp of medtech innovation, and various new initiatives like MedTech Mitra, BIRAC grants, Make in India and ICMR research projects have recently been introduced."

"The potential here is immense, and we are just scratching the surface of what’s possible. I’m deeply grateful to our investors for believing in this journey, and I can’t wait to see how SVASTEK continues to shape the future of healthcare.”

Padmaja Ruparel, co-founder of IAN Group, said, “SVASTEK’s revolutionary ALLTIP-enabled NIV mask impacts critical respiratory issues. IAN is delighted to partner with the founders to build a business that promises to bring a critical care solution to India’s healthcare industry.”
