Mumbai-based clean-label food startup Khetika has raised $18 million in a Series B funding round co-led by the Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office and Anicut Capital. The round also saw participation from existing investors Incofin India Progress Fund, Rajasthan Gum, and Shree Ram India Gums, and included a partial secondary exit for SIDBI Venture Capital Limited and several angel investors.

Founded in 2017 by Prithwi Singh, Darshan Krishnamurthy, and Raghuveer Allada, Khetika is known for its clean-label, preservative-free staples, including batters, chutneys, spices, millets, makhana, dry fruits, and rice. The startup's farm-to-fork model aims to counter food adulteration by sourcing directly from more than 25,000 farmers across 14 Indian states through its supply chain platform, SuperZop.

The startup will use the fresh capital towards diversifying its product portfolio and upgrading the manufacturing infrastructure. It is preparing to launch a range of ready-to-eat and regional food items rooted in traditional recipes and natural processing techniques.

Singh said the goal is to triple production capacity within 18 months. To support this, Khetika is investing in new automated processing units and localised hubs to maintain product freshness and reduce logistical delays. Recent infrastructure expansions include a new batter plant in Delhi and a spice processing unit in Unjha, Gujarat.

On the technology front, a substantial portion of the funds will go toward enhancing SuperZop’s capabilities. This includes integrating real-time quality checks and improving traceability features for consumers, such as QR codes on packaging that identify where and when a product was grown and processed.

The startup sells its products through modern retail outlets, over 15,000 small stores, and digital channels like Amazon, BigBasket, and Blinkit. Quick commerce now contributes roughly 25 percent of Khetika’s sales and remains its fastest-growing segment.
