Noida-based toy marketplace Snooplay has raised Rs 8 crore in a pre-Series A1 funding round, as it doubles down on building a full-stack, AI-powered toy platform. 

The round was led by Pravek Family Office, with participation from a diverse group of strategic angel investors, marking a major milestone in Snooplay’s mission to fix what it calls “India’s broken toy story.”

The startup will use the funds to fuel the launch of two proprietary innovative tech products that aim to transform how India discovers, buys, and recirculates toys through AI, data, and empathy. 

Founded in 2019 by Aanchal Mahajan and Brij Raj Singh, Snooplay is a toy-tech startup redefining play in India through its AI-powered platform. The startup has evolved from a curated toy marketplace to a full-stack tech-enabled ecosystem designed to enhance toy discovery and introduce toy-buyback mechanism, building the country’s first intelligent toy loop.

It claims to have over 35,000 toys from 600+ brands, and serves a growing community of Indian parents, collectors and gift-givers. 

“We are building India’s only toy app that’s serious about play. An app that helps you discover and buy the right toy when your child needs it and lets you trade it in for store credits once they’ve outgrown it. No clutter, no guilt. Just a smarter way to play,” said Aanchal Mahajan, Co-founder, Snooplay. 

“In a market flooded with noise, parents often don’t know what to buy, when to buy, or why a toy is even relevant. And once a toy is outgrown, it ends up in a pile - unused, unloved, and adding to clutter. Snooplay was founded to change that,” added Aanchal. 

Co-founder Brij Raj Singh said, “Toys are not just products - they’re tools that shape imagination, skills, and emotions. But most toy-buying today is random and cluttered. We are fixing that - with AI, empathy, and real data.” 

Snooplay said capital will drive the nationwide rollout of new tech-products and will also be used towards building India’s most comprehensive Toy Intelligence Database, mapping thousands of toys to developmental skills, moods, play types, and learning goals. 

It also plans to expand its buyback program in collaboration with NGOs, enabling sustainable toy donations and encouraging conscious consumption. In parallel, the brand will strengthen its private label offerings across modern retail outlets, e-commerce marketplaces, and curated gifting verticals, while also enhancing its technology, logistics, and operational backbone.
