Wahter, an Indian startup specializing in advertising and packaged drinking water, has raised Rs 5 crore in a pre-seed funding round, valuing it at Rs 52 crore.

Founded in December 2023 by Amitt Nenwani and Kashish A. Nenwani, Wahter integrates brand advertisements into water bottle labels. This approach allows the startup to offer bottled water at extremely low prices, as advertising investments subsidize the cost.

Interestingly, The startup aims to provide consumers with access to bottled water at just Rs 1 or Rs 2.

The startup plans to increase the number of carts, strollers, and kiosks in high-traffic areas such as metro stations, malls, and public places. This expansion will help provide advertisers with a broader demographic reach.

Additionally, Wahter intends to invest in advanced technology to streamline operations and logistics and ensure the consistent quality of its bottled water. It also plans to grow its team to support these expansion efforts.
