Pibit.AI team
Pibit.AI, an insurtech startup building AI systems for underwriting, has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Y Combinator and Arali Ventures.
The startup will use the funding to strengthen product development and accelerate industry-wide adoption of its flagship Centralized Underwriting Risk Environment (CURE).
Insurance has long centered on understanding risk, but industry tools have struggled to keep pace with underwriters, the startup said. Many underwriting teams still spend up to a third of their time on manual data entry, triage and data enrichment. As submission volumes rise and underwriting talent shrinks, Pibit.AI said efficiency has become critical. The startup aims to make underwriting faster, more accurate and more reliable.
“Pibit.AI was built around one idea: that AI should empower underwriters, not replace them,” said Akash Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Pibit.AI.
“Too many systems prioritize speed over trust. We’re building something that’s transparent, explainable, and decision-ready — a system that gives underwriters confidence in every output while helping them move faster than ever before.”
CURE serves as a unified system that streamlines the underwriting lifecycle, handling submissions, document parsing, research, risk analysis and workflow orchestration in one environment.
Its modules, including ClearCURE for triage, DocumentCURE for document intelligence and ResearchCURE for real-time data enrichment, help underwriters move from raw submissions to decision-ready outputs more quickly, according to the company. RiskCURE evaluates each account with portfolio-specific signals, while WorkflowCURE consolidates tasks, insights and collaboration in a single workspace.
Alok Goyal, Partner at Stellaris Venture Partners, said, “Underwriting has long been constrained by manual reviews, inconsistent data and tools that haven't kept pace with rising submission volumes. With CURE, Pibit.AI automates and unifies these workflows, improving accuracy, reducing costs and accelerating quote generation to drive higher revenue. We're excited to partner with Akash and lead Pibit.AI's Series A round as it scales.”
Over the next 12 to 18 months, Pibit.AI plans to expand its advanced risk models, API layers and data partnerships to make the CURE platform more adaptive to new lines of business and emerging risks.
