Medial, a professional networking platform targeting the startup ecosystem, has raised $500,000 in a pre-Series A funding round.

The investment was led by Ortella Global Capital, co-founded by serial entrepreneur Rajvardhan Mohite and former IFC executive Sayan Ghosh.

Rapid growth within months of launch

Medial claims to have a tight-knit community of 100,000 entrepreneurs, startup enthusiasts, techies, and investors, and over 10,000 daily active users (DAU) on the platform within a few months of the platform's alpha launch.

Highlighting the platform’s uniqueness, Niket Raj Dwivedi, founder and CEO of Medial, said, "Most professionals in the startup and tech communities face fragmented solutions across various platforms. Medial integrates learning, collaboration, and meaningful discussions into a single space, offering users a streamlined and productive experience."

What does Medial do?

Founded and led by Niket Raj Dwivedi, Aishwarya Raj Pandey, Prateek Kaien, and Harsh Dwivedi, Media acts as a hub of startup news, industry updates, banters, and advice in a non-clickbaity fashion to add value for its community, and enable transparent and inclusive workplace conversations.

It has a curated news feed for real-time updates, a social feed for discussions and insights, and a Startup Showcase that allows users to pitch ideas, validate them with peers, and receive actionable feedback.

Dwivedi emphasized that Medial eliminates the need to switch between multiple apps, offering a centralized space for networking, news, and idea validation.
