Snabbit, a quick-service app that connects households with on-demand home service professionals, has secured $5.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Elevation Capital.

Nexus Venture Partners also participated, along with angel investors Vidit Aatrey, Sanjeev Barnwal, Gaurav Munjal, and Niraj Singh.

The startup previously raised $1 million in seed funding from Nexus Venture Partners in early 2024.

What does Snabbit do?

Advertisment

Founded in 2024 by Aayush Agarwal, who formerly served as chief of staff at Zepto, Snabbit focuses on providing quick home services for tasks like cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry. Users can book trained professionals by the hour, and the startup promises a 15-minute arrival time.

Agarwal said Snabbit’s full-stack approach involves sourcing, training, and managing its workforce, offering steady income and benefits such as health and accident insurance. He noted that this method empowers a segment of workers that has long been fragmented.

Focused on expansion

Snabbit is already active in select neighbourhoods of Mumbai and plans to use the new capital to expand to additional locations and strengthen its team.

Agarwal said the startup has “acquired thousands of customers within a small serviceable radius,” mainly through word-of-mouth. He described India as a market with “immense untapped potential for high-frequency home services” and said Snabbit is “building a new category poised for significant innovation and growth.”

What did investors say?

Talking about the investment, Manish Advani, Vice President of Elevation Capital, said, “Snabbit’s platform, which provides quick, on-demand and affordable home services through a hyperlocal network of professionals, is a game-changer. Leveraging a unique model to deliver reliable and high-quality services swiftly, they stand out in the home services sector. We are excited to partner with them on this journey as they grow from select micro markets in Mumbai to pan-India, transforming everyday convenience.”

Suvir Sujan, managing director at Nexus Venture Partners, commended Snabbit’s strategy of operating in dense residential clusters. He emphasized that the company is “disrupting the home services industry at the hyperlocal level” by offering a model that benefits both consumers and service providers.
