Other notable individual investors, including Aalap Mahadevia, Kabir Narang, Nikhil Mohta, and Kevin Hu, also participated.

Rewarding users

Veera is a new kind of mobile browser from India that rewards users for using it. It was created by Arjun Ghose and Rahul Pagdipati, with help from advisors Aditya Julka and Kanu Gupta.

Since its launch, The browser has become popular in India as it claims to make browsing better and gives rewards for being active on it.

Offering tailored content

Veera started in September 2023 as a mobile-only browser made in India. It offers content tailored to users and blocks ads. According to the company, the browser's unique feature is an engagement-driven rewards program, which uses gamification to incentivize user loyalty and engagement.

Expanding engineering team

According to CEO Arjun Ghose, the new capital will help expand the company's engineering team to accelerate product development, enhance infrastructure and invest in marketing initiatives.

"We are thrilled to have secured this funding from Ayon Capital and other top-tier investors. This investment validates our vision to revolutionize the mobile internet experience in India," he said.

The startup claims its browser has crossed 100,000 users and is focused on changing how people think about using the internet on their phones.

"The overwhelming response from users following the introduction of our rewards program and the launch of our super-fast browser has reinforced the need for a product like Veera in India. With this additional funding, we will focus on expanding our engineering team to accelerate product development, enhancing our infrastructure to ensure seamless user experience, and investing in marketing initiatives to reach even more users across India," Ghose added.
