Onetab.ai Saket Dandotia
Onetab.ai, a workplace SaaS startup focused on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into every stage of software development, has raised a total of $3.3 million in a seed funding round led by LIT Fund and Orbit.
The round also saw participation from a Singapore-based family office, SOSV, investor Sunil Kumar Singhvi, and the company’s founders.
Rolling out OneAsk
The newly secured capital will expedite the rollout of OneAsk, which Onetab describes as the world’s first AI agent capable of overseeing the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
“Building an AI agent that seamlessly addresses the entire SDLC workflow has been a long-term vision for us. With Onetab’s AI agent – OneAsk, we have created an intelligent solution that not only simplifies processes but also drives innovation by enabling teams to focus on what truly matters—building exceptional software,” said co-founder and CEO Saket Dandotia.
“Our goal is to simplify the complexities of software development. OneAsk Agent is not just another tool; it’s an intelligent partner that supports teams at every step, driving productivity and reducing time-to-market.”
What does Onetab.ai do?
Founded in November 2023 by Dandotia, along with co-founders Sonal Dandotia and Alok Patil, Onetab.ai aims to unify the disparate tools commonly used across coding, project management, communication, and deployment.
Its AI-driven platform leverages open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) — an approach the startup says can automate repetitive tasks, streamline team coordination, and improve decision-making.
The OneAsk engine, in particular, is designed to manage everything from initial ideation to post-deployment analytics, giving developers and project managers what Onetab calls “a single source of truth” for every stage in the SDLC.
The emphasis on an AI-centric workflow comes as enterprises grapple with increasingly fragmented development pipelines. According to Dandotia, Onetab’s proprietary framework goes further than most AI add-ons by integrating all aspects of software creation.
“With OneAsk, we have created an intelligent solution that not only simplifies processes but also drives innovation,” he said.
Expanding workforce
In addition to platform enhancements, Onetab.ai says the funding will help expand its workforce and meet escalating demand across global markets.
Since its initial launch, the startup reports that more than 15 organizations have signed on to use OneAsk, with fresh inquiries each month. They include teams looking to replace manual processes with advanced AI that can, for instance, generate or debug code, provide real-time project updates, and coordinate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tasks.
