TheWeddingCompany.com, a wedding planning and fulfillment startup, said that it has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by LVX (formerly LetsVenture) and Tremis Capital.
The investment round also saw participation from high-profile angels, including Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Delhivery’s Chief Operating Officer Ajith Pai, and Dropbox co-founder Arash Ferdowsi.
Founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev, the startup is attempting to bring order and technology to a traditionally fragmented industry that is estimated to be worth $130 billion. It operates a digital-first platform to help Indian couples discover, book, and manage wedding vendors across categories such as venues, photography, catering, décor, and logistics.
In just two years, The Wedding Company claims to have facilitated over Rs 60 crore (approximately $7.2 million) worth of wedding service orders, executing more than 1,000 weddings across eight cities. Monthly order bookings have scaled over 100 times since inception, surpassing Rs 10 crore in gross service value and Rs 1 crore in net monthly revenue.
The new capital will be used to expand operations into additional cities, enhance the company’s technology infrastructure, and grow its vendor partner network. The startup aims to standardise service delivery across regions, an area where most traditional wedding planners have struggled due to operational complexities.
“Weddings in India are large, emotional, and logistically complex,” said Pawan Gupta, co-founder of The Wedding Company (YC, MIT alum). “While the market is massive, there is no trusted brand managing fulfillment at scale. TWC is building tech-led, quality-assured, and operationally deep digital wedding planning and fulfilment experience”
As it scales, The Wedding Company is targeting Rs 120 crore in revenue in fiscal 2026, a threefold increase from its current run rate. Its competitors in the space include Meragi, Weddingz.in, Wedding Cloud, Shaadilogy, and Shaadi Baraati Event Management.
