Bengaluru-based industrial electronics startup TIEA Connectors Private Limited has raised Rs 22 crore in a funding round led by Jamwant Ventures and Valour Capital, with participation from 8X Ventures and IvyCap.

The capital will be deployed to scale manufacturing capacity, accelerate research and development, and meet growing demand from sectors such as electric vehicles, aerospace, drones, and defense.

The startup, incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), continues to collaborate with the institute on advanced R&D projects. With multiple patents granted, it has emerged as a crucial player in India’s growing Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) ecosystem.

"Our investment in TIEA aligns with our mission to support indigenous manufacturing and enhance India's industrial ecosystem," said Karan Goshar, Managing Partner at Valour Capital. "The company's demand is far exceeding supply, and this funding will enable them to scale operations, expand manufacturing capacity, and advance their R&D initiatives."

TIEA's products are key components across several high-growth industries, including EVs, aerospace, consumer electronics, and defense. The startup has gained recognition for its work in wireless power transfer and fire-retardant connectors and is currently operating at 90% of its manufacturing capacity.

"We are thrilled to partner with Jamwant Ventures, Valour Capital, 8X Ventures, and IvyCap as we scale our operations and continue delivering world-class solutions to our customers," said CEO Ajith Sasidharan. "As India pushes towards self-reliance in manufacturing, TIEA is proud to support that mission by developing components that have traditionally been imported."

"TIEA bridges the gap for creating specifically developed connectors, enabling Indian manufacturers to focus on designing their own innovative equipment with a fully domestic supply chain,” said Commander Navneet Kaushik, Managing Partner at Jamwant Ventures. “The need for a homegrown player in this segment has long been felt in India’s defense ecosystem.”
