Anny, a women-focused fashion tech startup, has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round led by Faad Capital, a prominent early-stage investment firm.
The round also saw participation from various high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and angel investors.
What does Anny do?
Founded in 2023 by Japjot Singh (CEO), Aveen Kaur (COO), and Rahul Tanwar (CTO), Anny aims to offer women a fashion-forward and accessible wardrobe, leveraging technology to stay on top of trends and ensure quality.
With the help of AI, it aims to adapt to real-time fashion trends and provide a proprietary size chart designed to fit the diverse body types of Indian women.
Plans for expansion and tech investment
With the latest investment, Anny plans to accelerate its expansion by focusing on several key areas. These include advancements in AI technology for real-time trend adaptation, improvements to its supply chain, and the acquisition of top-tier talent to scale the business.
The startup also plans to diversify its product offerings, introducing over 500 new products each month to ensure collections remain fresh and on-trend.
Upcoming mobile app and physical store launch
In addition to expanding its product line, Anny is preparing to launch a mobile app to improve accessibility for its customers. The startup believes the app will make it easier for consumers to browse and purchase products directly from their mobile devices.
Notably, it plans to open its first physical store in early 2025, further enhancing customer convenience by offering an in-person shopping experience.
“With Faad’s support, Anny is poised to become the go-to fashion brand for women, offering stylish, accessible options for every occasion. We’re excited to soon launch our mobile app and open our first physical store in early 2025, enhancing accessibility and convenience for our customers,” commented Japjot Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Anny.
“We are thrilled to lead Anny’s seed funding round,” said Karan Verma, Co-founder, Director, Faad Capital. “Anny’s innovative use of AI and consumer-first approach sets it apart in fashion tech, and we believe in the founders’ vision of making high-quality, affordable fashion accessible to all women.”
