Bengaluru-based women's occasion-wear brand Koskii has raised Rs 61 crore in a Series A funding round led by Baring Private Equity Partners India. 

The funds raised will be used to expand offline stores, enhance Koskii's online presence, invest in technology platforms, and recruit new talent.

Steer Advisors, an investment banking firm also participated in the funding round as the exclusive transaction advisor for Koskii.

Founded in 2017 by brothers Umar Akhter, Sameen Eajaz, and Haroon Rashid, along with their later addition Ayesha Saubia, Koskii has become a leading brand in the women's occasion wear category.

Currently, The brand operates in top cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Coimbatore, and Hyderabad and aims to expand further into newer cities. \

It claims to deliver orders to over 10,000 pin codes across the country and is now looking for international expansion, it said.
