In a move that highlights the growing interest in India’s healthcare sector, Delhi-based Zeelab Pharmacy has secured $2.4 million in its first funding round led by OTP Ventures.

Suhail Sameer, former BharatPe CEO, and Kunal Suri were among the key partners driving the investment.

Expansion plans and faster deliveries

Zeelab Pharmacy will use the fresh capital to expand its retail presence, develop a 60-minute delivery service, and bolster its position as a leading omnichannel healthcare provider.

The startup aims to serve both metro and non-metro cities by making medicines more accessible and affordable.

“This funding will serve as a catalyst for our growth plans, enabling us to further entrench our retail presence, bolster our delivery infrastructure, and fortify our omnichannel ecosystem. We believe this partnership will be instrumental in propelling our mission forward and creating a more inclusive and equitable healthcare ecosystem in India," said Rohit Mukul, Founder of Zeelab Pharmacy.

Affordable healthcare for all

Mukul founded Zeelab Pharmacy in 2019 at the age of 22 with the idea of supplying medicines at prices up to 90% lower than what consumers typically pay.

The startup currently operates more than 225 stores and handles at least 1,500 orders daily. Notably, Zeelab also onboarded actor Randeep Hooda as its brand ambassador last year to broaden its reach and raise awareness.
