AbhiBus partners with Germany-based CheckMyBus to simplify bus travel in India

AbhiBus, the bus ticketing arm of travel-tech firm ixigo, has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany-based CheckMyBus, a global intercity bus metasearch engine.

Through this collaboration, CheckMyBus will integrate AbhiBus's extensive network of 4,000+ bus operators and 3.5 lakh+ routes across India, making it easier for both international and domestic travellers to search and book intercity and last-mile bus journeys across the country. 

CheckMyBus, which operates in more than 90 countries across 21 local domains and 12 languages, allows users to compare routes, prices and schedules for buses and other transport modes in a single interface.

By onboarding AbhiBus’s inventory, the partnership significantly enhances the visibility of India’s vast bus network on a global scale. It also enables tourists arriving in India to plan and book their end-to-end journeys—from arrival at the airport to reaching remote towns—with greater ease and transparency.

Since its inception, AbhiBus has positioned itself as a tech-forward bus aggregator, offering tools such as live bus tracking, fare comparisons, cancellation protection, and route ratings through its “Bus Insights” feature. It is the official ticketing partner for several State Road Transport Corporations (SRTCs) and the IRCTC’s bus service. The platform also includes features such as “Abhi Assured” for on-time travel and a “Pink Seat” option aimed at enhancing safety and comfort for female passengers.
