Actor Kajal Aggarwal Invests In The Gaming Startup Okie Gaming

• Actress Kajal Aggarwal picks up a 15% stake in the gaming startup Okie Gaming.
• The platform is also in development to launch the 'Desi Sports League,' which they will launch one game according to each Indian state’s traditions.

Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal has recently invested an undisclosed amount in the Mumbai-based gaming startup Okie Gaming, a subsidiary of Okie Ventures. She has picked up a 15% equity stake in the startup and will be joining Okie Gaming as a board member.

Kajal Aggarwal has also been a brand ambassador for Okie Ventures.

With this capital infusion, The startup plans to leverage more games on the platform. Currently, It offers skill-based games such as Smart Housie, Fantasy Cricket, Smart Number Quiz, Ludo, and Smart Words.

The startup is also in development to launch the 'Desi Sports League' where they will launch games according to each Indian state's tradition. The platform will focus more on regional sports like Vallam Kali (boat racing, Kerela), Dahi Handi (Maharashtra), and expects to launch a new set of the game every month.

The startup will also launch its gaming platform on iOS and Google Play Store in December this year.

He further said the platform aims to bring 25 more games and expects to have 5 million downloads by the end of March 2021.

The company has already invested Rs 5 crore on the platform and intends to invest more by February as it adds more games to its library.

Okie Gaming is a real-money gaming platform where the users' will have to pay some amount to play the game. The startup will also launch casual games on the iOS and Google play store platforms.
