Gautam Adani's Adani Digital Labs, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, is acquiring a 100% stake in Trainman, an online train booking and information platform. 

Adani Digital Labs has signed a share purchase agreement for the 100% stake in Trainman, also known as Stark Enterprises Private Limited (SEPL).

Trainman, founded in 2011 by IIT Roorkee graduates Vineet Gupta and Sachin Saxena, is an Indian travel booking app that allows passengers to check their train status, predicts seat confirmation, and provides real-time updates on availability, schedules, fares, and more.

Trainman counts Goodwater Capital, a consumer tech investor based in California, and Hem Angels, based in Mumbai, as investors.

Additionally, The startup has also raised funds from Vijay Aggarwal, Chief Technology Officer of BharatPe, Nitin Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Mall 91, Vishal Kanodia, Director of Kanodia Cement Ltd, and others.

This acquisition marks Adani Enterprises' second investment in the travel booking and information sector.

Furthermore, Adani Enterprises appointed Nitin Sethi, former vice president of Indigo, as their Chief Digital Officer in the same year. 

Adani Digital, led by Rajan Bansal, former vice president of Airtel, aims to create an integrated platform called an omnichannel. This platform will allow customers to interact with all of Adani Group's business-to-consumer (B2C) enterprises.
