Enterprise AI platform Glean Technologies has opened its first office in India, located in Bengaluru. Covering approximately 26,000 square feet, this new office will serve as the central hub for its operations in India.

The functions housed here include finance, sales, research and development (R&D), and business operations.

Founded in 2019 by Arvind Jain, Vishwanath T R, Tony Gentilcore, and Piyush Prahladka, Glean Technologies offers enterprise search and knowledge management solutions.

Catering to the Indian market

The Bengaluru office is not just a new workspace but a strategic move to cater to the Indian market and beyond.

"We are thrilled to establish our presence in India, especially in Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of the country," said Arvind Jain, Founder and CEO of Glean Technologies.

"Our Bengaluru office will enable us to closely collaborate with Indian enterprises, helping them unlock the full potential of their knowledge through our state-of-the-art AI platform. Additionally, this office will serve as a crucial hub for our global operations, driving a significant portion of our international projects."

Hiring in R&D

Glean Technologies has raised over $350 million from top venture capital firms, including General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, and Lightspeed.

The company is currently valued at over $2.2 billion and boasts an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth rate of 300% year-on-year. The company plans to expand its workforce from 150 to over 450 by next year.

"We are going to be hiring a lot in R&D. A lot of cutting-edge AI work that we're doing inside our company is going to be happening in our Bangalore site," Jain added.

Key partners and clients in the APAC region

Glean Technologies is actively expanding its customer base in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region through partnerships with prominent enterprise firms. These include a top Southeast Asian commercial bank, a global electronics and entertainment firm, and a global automotive manufacturer.

"You will see all kinds of chatbots and systems that go beyond helping you find information. But the future is even more powerful. We will be living in a world where AI is going to work for us," said Jain, emphasizing the transformative potential of their AI platform.
