AICTE and Apna.co launches career platform for 30 lakh students

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in partnership with Apna.co, a jobs and professional networking platform, has unveiled the 'AICTE Career Portal.' 

The new platform is designed to provide over 3 million students from more than 12,000 colleges with access to job and internship opportunities, enhancing their ability to find employment in various industries.

Key Features and Benefits

The AICTE Career Portal, which will go live on April 30, 2024, offers a range of features to facilitate students' career development. It includes AI-powered tools such as a resume builder and planned features like AI-assisted interview preparation and salary benchmarking.

Additionally, there is an exclusive Silicon Valley Immersion Programme, through which students can visit and interact with industry leaders at major companies such as Google, Apple, and Microsoft.

The platform also facilitates community engagement and professional development, helping students to enhance their skills and expand their professional networks.

AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative, stating, “By joining forces, we are not only empowering students to cultivate essential skills but also facilitating their access to a broad spectrum of national and global employment opportunities.” He highlighted that this initiative would transform the landscape of career opportunities for engineering students across India.
