Alakh Pandey-led edtech unicorn PhysicsWallah (PW) has announced the expansion of vernacular offerings through Bharat Batches under Project Bharat.
Announced at Vishwas Diwas, PW’s annual flagship event, Project Bharat is designed to help bridge language barriers and ensure that students across India, especially those in rural and non-Hindi/English-speaking regions, have access to quality learning materials in their native languages.
As part of Bharat Batches, NEET and JEE content of Lakshya Program will now be available in Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, and English, with plans to introduce more languages.
Under Project Bharat, content will be scripted in regional languages, dubbed, and then enhanced with AI. This approach aims to replicate the experience of lectures being personally delivered by PW founder Alakh Sir and the platform’s renowned faculty.
Leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance student learning
Along with Project Bharat, PW also announced key AI-driven tools to enhance student learning such as Prep Meter and PW Books. Prep Meter is an advanced performance tracking system that monitors students’ learning journey, identifying their strong and weak areas, and providing AI-powered personalized video recommendations for improvement.
It tracks a student’s entire learning experience from lecture viewing, Daily Practice Programs (DPP), and tests while offering real-time performance analysis.
On the other hand, PW Books is a smart digital NCERT book available as a standalone app on the Play Store, designed to make studying more efficient. With AI-powered features, students can access relevant content by clicking a picture, highlighting important terms, taking notes, and getting instant explanations for better understanding.
Leadership comments
Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO, PhysicsWallah said, “At our annual flagship event Vishwas Diwas, we reaffirm our commitment to serving the student community. Throughout the previous year, I have received feedback from students asking for our educational content to be delivered in their regional languages and Project Bharat is our first attempt towards doing that. We also introduced Level-Up, Prep-Meter, and other innovative offerings aimed to enhance students’ learning experiences and make their academic journey more effective and engaging.”
What is Level-Up?
Level-Up is a reward-based system that turns study activities on the PW App into a competitive experience. According to the company, the feature enables these students to track progress and compete with their PW peers across the country, making learning more interactive, goal-driven, and motivating.
Additionally, during the pilot run of the Level-Up feature, conducted across students from Classes 9th and 10th, an increase of around 30% in the time students spent studying on the PW App was noticed.
In this feature, students start at the first level and are grouped with 30 peers, earning XP points for various academic activities such as watching lectures, attempting Daily Practice Programs (DPP), taking mock tests, and participating in regular tests.
