Altair expands operations in Chennai

Altair, a global leader in computational intelligence, product development, high-performance computing (HPC), and data analytics, has opened its new office in Chennai, India. 

The move is a part of the company's strategic plan to cater to its growing customer base in the region. The Chennai office aims to accommodate over 100 employees, creating a hub for Altair’s engineering and technical teams to foster closer relationships with customers and partners across Southern India.

Enhanced support and services

The expansion of the Chennai office allows Altair to offer a comprehensive range of services, including technical support, training, and consulting. This suite of services is designed to assist businesses in harnessing Altair’s advanced simulation and optimization technologies, thereby improving product development processes.

The Chennai Centre is set to play a pivotal role in developing end-to-end tools for global clients, with a particular focus on the electric vehicle and electronics sectors. The company boasts nearly 1,500 clients in India, including major corporations and government organizations. 

Furthermore, the partnership with IIT Madras to launch an eMobility Simulation Lab exemplifies Altair’s dedication to nurturing the future of engineering and design through education and partnership.
