American Express opens its largest office worldwide in Gurugram, India

Global financial services company American Express has opened its largest office worldwide, situated in Gurugram, India. 

Spanning nearly one million square feet, this new campus is designed as a state-of-the-art facility that emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and the well-being of its employees.

Strategic development in India

The new facility is located in Sector 74A of Gurugram. The employees will transition to the new facility in phases, with the relocation process scheduled to begin by the end of May.

The development is part of American Express's long-term strategy to enhance its in-country capabilities by leveraging both global expertise and local talent. The company's commitment to India is reflected in the substantial investment in creating a modern, eco-friendly workspace.

Advanced design and sustainability features

The campus has been awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification for its sustainable design and construction.

The building incorporates advanced technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact, such as energy-efficient LED lighting, smart building systems, and facilities for electric vehicle charging.

Notably, The company has used renewable energy sources and robust waste management practices.

Designed with a focus on health and wellness, the campus features expansive green spaces, ergonomic workstations, and a variety of recreational and relaxation areas, including quiet rooms and lounges.
