Ecommerce giant Amazon-owned Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the launched of its Generative AI Innovation Center program with the aim to assist customers in the successful development and deployment of generative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.

The company would invest $100 million to will connect AWS AI and machine learning (ML) experts with customers worldwide, aiding them in the creation and implementation of innovative generative AI products, services, and processes.

The development comes after numerous companies across various industries are understanding the transformative potential of generative AI for their offerings and operations.

According to the company's statement, The AWS Generative AI Innovation Center seeks to expedite the realization of these ideas by providing customers with the necessary support. The center's team, comprising strategists, data scientists, engineers, and solutions architects, will collaborate closely with customers, guiding them through a step-by-step process to build tailor-made solutions that leverage the power of generative AI.

For instance, Healthcare and life sciences companies can explore ways to accelerate drug research and discovery, while manufacturers can reimagine industrial design and processes. Similarly, financial services companies can devise methods to offer customers personalized information and advice.

Through cost-free workshops, engagements, and training, AWS will assist customers in envisioning and defining the most valuable use cases for their businesses, drawing upon best practices and industry expertise.

Additionally, The Generative AI Innovation Center team will offer guidance on responsible generative AI application and optimizing machine learning operations to minimize costs. Engagements will provide customers with strategies, tools, and support to leverage AWS generative AI services, including Amazon CodeWhisperer—an AI-powered coding companion—and Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that grants access to foundational models (FMs) from AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Stability AI, as well as Amazon's own family of FMs, namely Amazon Titan, via an API.

Notably, The customers can train and run their models using high-performance infrastructure such as AWS Inferentia-powered Amazon EC2 Inf1 Instances, AWS Trainium-powered Amazon EC2 Trn1 Instances, and Amazon EC2 P5 instances powered by NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs.
