Through this acquisition, Tiger Global-backed Bizongo aims to equip more than 100 Indian factories with its IoT-powered cloud factory solution by 2023. It also plans to deploy the solution at three sites by July.

Bizongo says the deal will also help them provide local manufacturers access to automation and real-time data analytics, which is critical for increasing their throughput.

Additionally, the platform plans to integrate Clean Slate’s assets, goods, and people-tracking features and sensors to generate data and insights about the operations of a factory. The integration will increase production visibility for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and their domestic and international customers, Bizongo said in a statement.

Post-acquisition, Clean Slate’s team including founding team members Siddharth Desai, Mayank Sharma, and Anubhaw Kumar will join the Bizongo's team.

Aniket Deb, Ankit Tomar, and Sachin Agrawal co-founded Bizongo in 2015. The business-to-business (B2B) platform focuses upon packaging, textiles, apparel, and other contract manufacturing goods as its product portfolio and has a network of over 1500 curated manufacturers across these categories.

Through its proprietary digital platforms, such as Procure Live, Partner Hub, and Artwork Flow, Bizongo offers Digital Vendor Management, Supply Chain Automation, and Supply Chain Financing as key services to its enterprise customers.

“The government’s Make in India initiative aims to place India on the world map as a manufacturing powerhouse. This makes it imperative for manufacturers to leverage emerging technologies that make their factories more efficient,” said Ankit Tomar, Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer, Bizongo.

So far, Bizongo has raised over $239 million in funding from investors such as CDC Group, Castle Investments, Adveq, AddVentures, Chiratae Ventures, Tiger Global Management, amongst others. Whereas, Clean Slate is a bootstrapped startup.

Clean Slate was founded in 2016 by IIT Bombay and SRM Chennai alumni Mayank Sharma, Siddharth Desai, and Anubhaw Kumar.
