Bengaluru-based startup Relso has raised $840,000 in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Venture Catalysts and Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), a Gurugram-based angel investment firm.

Relso, which operates as a cloud factory for furniture, aims to revolutionize the industry with its innovative approach. The startup aims to harness the power of technology to offer sustainable, customizable, and efficient furniture production solutions.

Who are the participating investors?

The round also saw participation from several notable investors, including Ramakant Sharma, Shantanu Deshpande, and Saurabh Jain, who have recognized Relso's potential to transform the furniture sector.

With the fresh capital, Relso plans to embark on a global expansion, enhance its technological platform, and strengthen its supply chains. It also looks to leverage the funding to become a leading player in the global furniture market, with a special focus on exports.

Who are the founders?

Founded in early 2023 by a trio of IITians - Anshul Choubey, Abhinav Agarwal, and Jay Trivedi - Relso brings together a wealth of expertise in entrepreneurship, B2B sales, and technology.

The founders' aims to make India a global hub for furniture manufacturing and exports, challenging the current market leader, China.

"With this fundraise, we aim to supercharge our export GTM strategies, bolster our tech platform, and expand our supply chains. This infusion of capital will propel Relso and India as the top choice for our clients’ export needs, furthering our mission and vision for the future," said Anshul Choubey, Co-Founder and CEO of Relso.

Venture Catalysts CEO highlights Relso's potential

Dr Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, MD & CEO of Venture Catalysts, said, “At Venture Catalysts, we are committed to identifying and nurturing India’s most promising startups with the potential to redefine industries and transcend borders. In just a year of operations, Relso has swiftly emerged as a game-changer in the furniture sector, harnessing the power of technology and ingenuity to redefine traditional paradigms and boasts of an impressive execution track record."

Focusing on the mid-market segment

Relso focuses on meeting the unique needs of the mid-market segment by offering bespoke design solutions, accommodating low minimum order quantities (MOQs), and ensuring reliability and scalability.

The startup believes that this approach has positioned Relso as a preferred choice for customers, setting the stage for the company to become a formidable force in the B2B commerce space.
